X-Pro2 ordered!

I'm a long-time rangefinder user; my primary camera system is Nikon, but I've had Leicas around for most of the last 40 years, too. For me using a direct view camera like a Leica is a different experience than using a SLR, each has it's place.

Last year I swallowed hard and bought a Leica M-P 240 to use alongside my trusty M6, but while it is a great body I've just never bonded with it. About the same time last year I picked up a clean used X-Pro1 with a 35/2 WR to give Fuji X a try - I've had a X100s for a few years, but I found it's a little small and fiddly for everyday use. The XP1 proved to be more of what I wanted in a direct view ILC, and the XP2 fixed a few of my minor annoyances with the earlier body.

Today I ordered an X-Pro2 with a 23/2 and 50/2. I'm hoping it can replace the M-P 240, the sale of which will back fund the Fuji gear with the remainder going into savings. If the XP2 works out (and I think it will, I've played with them in stores a few times) I'll look at picking up a Fuji 14mm so I can recreate my usual Leica walking around kit of 21-35-75. I'll probably keep the XP1 and leave the 35 on it, but I'll decide that later. I have an X-M1 that I can use as a backup body so maybe the XP1 should go, too.

Moving from a full frame digital M to a cropped sensor Fuji X seems to be a radical jump, but I suspect more than a few others have done it. Another driving force behind this change is a strong desire to move off a lot of mostly underutilized equipment - I have *way* too much gear in the cabinet.
