I have an EOS 100D (Rebel SL1) which I use when out hiking/walking on a strap over a shoulder. It'll be turned on, but the touch screen is disabled (via menu setting). I normally have it set up in Program mode, Auto ISO, RAW and single-shot AF. However, and this is my problem, sometimes when I come to use it it's switched ISO or picture quality (to JPG) or AF mode (or a combination of these) to something different.

I've never had this problem with my other Canon DSLRs (7D Mk 1, 6D) when used in a similar way. I'm assuming that some buttons are getting pressed as the camera moves against my body, but can't see any way to "lock" the settings in the menus.

Anyone else come across this ? Or even better, is there a solution ?

I tend to turn off the camera when not taking pictures.

Yet the mode wheel can turn , I experienced it

That's no good, of course. But Op asked about functions like ISO, RAW, etc., settings which probably get changed by random presses on the back-side. Those should be off when you turn off the camera.

I see now, then it seems to me like an active touchscreen.
