What we have here, GW, is a dead forum. It's almost like this thread doesn't exist.
That's because Canon hasn't released a Powershot camera worth commenting on for several years.
Except for the G1X II, G3X, G5X, G7X, and G7X II... yeah, except for all of those.
None of those cameras are worth commenting on.
The Quality of the photos from those cameras is no better than my G1X or G16. That's what I meant when I said for several years Canon's P&S have pretty much stayed the same. They haven't really produced a new camera that is any better in the last few years. Oh, they changed the Form-factors and made some cosmetic changes and added some gimmicky features....but in reality? Nothing new and innovative. Mostly Canon's P&S are "Ho-Hum" cameras. Maybe the G3X which has a longer zoom. But then you have to worry about the "error" messages. If they make a G3X II maybe I'll come on board. But until then.....?
I am happy with the G1X and G16. Also the S110 and the EOS M2. But until they come up with something that is indeed new, improved and truly innovative....I'll sit on the sidelines. Because none of the other manufacturers are doing any better.
I have no idea what you mean by "new, improved and truly innovative", and obviously neither do you.
Snarky man! English must not be your native language!
