I'm upgrading from a T1i to a T7i (maybe a 77d) and would like to know if the newer models will save different picture styles for video and photos?

I go back and forth a lot between video and stills and prefer to shoot videos in a neutral profile and photos in something closer to standard. Right now I often forget to change the setting (or I need to take a photo quickly) and end up with a photo shot in a video neutral style.

I shoot in jpg only.

For the models you are talking about the answer is no. There are you C (custom) modes on them. Had there been one, you would be able to save a setting. When I had a 5d iv, there were 3 C modes. One of them I set up for video only. FYI, the 80d has two C modes and the 7d ii has three, I think. The 70d has one.
