Hello everyone !
I currently own a Fuji Xt2 with the 16-55 lens which I love. But I am going to Costa Rica in 1,5 month and I am mostly going to take photos of wildlife (animals, insects) and landscape.
For landscape I think my current lens will be totally fine, on the other hand don't think it will be so good for wildlife as I am not so sure I can get so close to the animals.
Other thing , I am on a budget (cannot spend a thousand dollars on a lens at the moment). I saw the 50-230 which is quite cheap and do not appear too bad going to be in forest most of the time I am not sure it can still do the jobs in poor luminosity conditions ?
As well if anyone as advices for macro lenses which I did not look up yet ?
My other solution if I cannot find an affordable lens for my fuji is to get one for my Nikon d90, but I would rather get one for the Xt2 as I stopped using the d90 month ago.

I have the Fujifilm XF55-200mm F3.5-4.8 R LM O.I.S. I am very satisfied with its sharpness and image stabilization ability. Although for some situations in wildlife photography, its focal length is not as adequate as the Fujinon XF 100-400mm F4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR, the price of the later is about US$1,600. The price of XF55-200mm lens which I bought about 18 months ago was only about US$590. Here is the link for a DP Review of the XF55-200mm lens.

Here are some floral photos taken by me using the XF55-200mm and the X-T1.

For macro lens, there seems to be only one Fujifilm XF lens with macro function - XF60mm F2.4 Macro. I just bought it last week and still taking some test shots of it during the past week. Priced at about US$360 (without warranty). It is a sharp lens. Here are some photos taken with it.

For its macro function, the magnification power is only 0.5x. I have not yet tested it seriously. However, I have tried to add two extension tubes (10mm and 16mm) between it and the X-T1, the image can be magnified a bit further more.
