Adapted manual lenses on A6500

One of the big selling poins of the A7 series is the possibility to adapt all kinds of FF legacy glass and use magnification and focus peaking.

I would say that  the same applies to APC-S cameras like the A6x00 family. Why is this a hardly mentioned point? OK, you are losing part of the lens owing to the smaller sensor, but can I ask how many of you take pleasure in reviving old glass in an A6x00 format? Or is it a bad idea in the first place?
