GX8 "bigness" is an illusion. Check camerasize
6

On a whim, I checked the size of the GX8 against:

* E-M1 II is bigger and heavier than the GX8 .

* E-M1 original is about the same as the GX8, just slightly bigger and heavier than the GX8.

* G85 is about the same as the GX8, not quite as wide, but higher and thicker, and just slightly heavier than the GX8. The G6 I had previously was smaller (although slightly taller) than the GX8, and it was 20% lighter. The GX8 and the G85 are necessarily bigger because they do so much more.

Of course, if we go to the deliberately smaller cameras like the E-M5 and the GX7, then the GX8 shows up as bigger, although not necessarily heavier!
