Canon 550D, time to replace?
Re: Canon 550D, time to replace?
Thanks.
I actually using the 550D, but not often, only for garden and events.
The RX100 M1 is gaing, but I liked its 28mm@f1.8 and 100mm. For 24mm such as RX100 M3+ or LX10/15, it's good for landscape but is easy to have human faces distorted. A distorted face or even an distorted arm pr shoulder usually ruins the whole photograph. This is a reason I look for a light but not so bulky solution.

Hi, all,
I have had my Canon 550D since 2010 and used it quite often (around 10,000 counted) for travel until the end of 2014 when I bought a wee Sony RX100. So this 550D has been mostly for garden photos and videos since then.
Now my RX100 has clicked more than 12,000 and I'm thinking to sell it on eBay. However, I still need a travel camera.
honestly if you've put an slr aside for 3 years you probably won't enjoy going back to one. Consider a g7 x or g9 x
Looking around options, a pancake lens plus a small DSLR is a good choice. I think to use the 550D for a while. Is there any other options?
Your opinions are very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Wave
P.S. I attach a rose here (OOC) for thanking your help.
