The following lenses top my wish list, but I know that none of them will ever be made, or, at the very least, are very unlikely to be made any time in the next decade. In order:
- 35-70 / 2A OS
- 70 / 1.8A OS
- 100-300 / 4S OS
I made my options all Sigma since I think that there is a far higher chance Sigma would make these lenses than Canon (although the chance is still close to zero), but who makes them doesn't matter with regards to this poll.
Does anyone else share an interest in these lenses, or is it, as I suspect, pretty much only me? If so, please cast your vote and specify which lenses you'd have an interest in.
First of all let me say it out loud I love Sigma Art series lenses, however, I personally have no interest in the first two at all but a slight chance I may consider the 3rd one because:
1. 50-70 is the least used focal range when I shot with the 24-70, so I see no reason for me to get a zoom like 35-70 while I don't use anything but 35 but give up on F1.4 for the range I never used.
2. again, 50-70 is a range I hardly ever used, so I will stick with my 85mm instead.
3. This one I have a mixed feeling, from the 100-200mm range, I definitely don't care for the F4 max aperture, but at 300mm, the 2.8 is too big to carry around, I would only use it when going out to a very specific event which I am only short wlalk from my car, so I would welcome a F4 lens for most of the time, so for this one I am not 100 % at this point if I would get one or not, but at least I am remotely interested in, but at the end most likely I would still stick with 70-200 F2.8 + 300 F4 Prime instead as I really have hard time with a F4 lens at 100-200 range, the only useful part for me on your purposed lens is the 300 F4 end, so may as well get a prime which is likely to have even better quality than a zoom at its long end.
