Product recommendation for beach cinematography

Hello, I plan on shooting a scene for my short film that involves a boy being saved from drowning at the beach and am trying to figure out a way to protect my Sony a6300 with 35mm lens from water damage. I do not plan on submerging my camera so I feel as if the full housing rental option is a bit overkill, but at the same time as not ready to put my trust in the $25 plastic bag type casings. I guess what I am looking for is a cheap solution that will provide me with "water resistance" but not full water proofing, without sacrificing image quality. I only plan on being waist deep in water but there most definitely will be waves and spray I should account for. Any product recommendations or other solutions? Or am I going to have to bite the bullet and rent a full housing?
