The Leica T - Loved and Underrated

A very polarizing camera. I find it almost difficult to write my thoughts on it since I know how upset people get when someone says that they love this camera.
Some get angry because they don't think its a proper Leica.
Some because they can't afford it.
Others because they don't get it.

I love the thing and its actually quite simple. And yes, I've had "real" Leica cameras as well (The M8, M9 and M9M).

The three main bullets for me are:

  • The build quality is second to none
  • The screen and GUI is near perfection
  • The image quality is awesome

These days when it doesn't cost very much used I can't even complain about the price.
The lenses are pretty steep. But I think the 23mm is all you need. After that i complement it with adapted M-mounts, Minoltas, M42s, etc.

The only real negative for me is the weight. But that kinda goes hand in hand with quality.

I have included plenty of samples in a video I made about 5 "affordable" cameras.
The Leica starts at 06:05.

Raw on a very bright day.
