Well, thanks for that post. It's always nice to see a contrasting view that wipes the shine off a so called 'super camera'. It's funny how people quickly come to the defence of a lump of metal and are quick to blame the photographer!

Of course the reality is faults lie with both you and your gear. Camerasize.com is recommended if you can't handle the camera beforehand.

I personally would not notice if the colors were out much by default and I shoot raw anyway so as long as they were easily corrected it would be no deal breaker.

Button placement is important and if the buttons are easily knocked it can be annoying - I have that issue sometimes with my GX80. I figured a bigger body would help alleviate that problem so I've been looking for a good deal on the GX8. So thanks for raising my awareness of that problem. It might help postpone some GAS!

My dillema is the G80 (my other option) has the better ergonomics but no 20MB sensor and is slightly less discrete for street shooting. Oh and it's also harder to pick up a bargain G80. Maybe I should drop the idea of using m43 for street and use it for sports/action instead. I have a Sony RX1R, Nikon Coolpix A, Samsung NX500 and Nikon 1 J5 for street so it's not like I need a street setup. A G80 would make my Samsung NX1 obsolete though!
