Color: "correct" color is very subjective. I have found Panny color in the G6, GX7, and G85 to be excellent. you can tweak it for personal taste. You see the GX8 color as yellowish? Pull the yellow back in the in-camera styles/modes (I added a bit on the G6 and GX7). Nothing could be simpler. Which style/mode are you shooting in? I generally use "Vivid" these days.

Have you tried using the "Reset" menu item (just in case your GX8 has been adjusted off correct/normal)?

The GX8 is big? Goodness -- what a surprise! Why I didn't get it, actually, and got the GX7 instead. You have had the GX7? You didn't notice the GX8 as comparatively big? Come on, that is not about being a lemon.

Buttons a problem? We have had threads about problem buttons and the solutions here. Best one I have seen is someone who got corn plasters and punched holes in the middle of them, then set them around the buttons to protect them from accidental touching.

I had a problem with accidental touching on the G6 and simply built up a bit on the back right of the camera to lift my thumb clear of them. Worked fine. NO problems at all with the GX7 and G85.

As for switching to the Pen F -- I wonder whether you would be complaining about the Oly menus? They drove me nuts. And I would find that front button/switch thing a darned nuisance, I'm sure. Plus I suspect the Pen F's EVF is no better than the one on the GX7 which I find to be a bit small, but can't complain about because, oddly, it was like that when I bought and I noticed that in the store.

GX8?  Never seen one.  Which is not surprising as I do wonder where all the Panasonic and Olympus bodies go.  I may not see many about the traps locally and only occasionally some superseded models in electronic goods stores.

So if I want something not superseded stock at a not so great "sale" price  have to buy sight unseen by mail order.  The first comment all reviews made was that it was  big camera.  Usually followed a paragraph or two later by a comment that it didn't seem "that" big.

I am quite a literal thinking person and millimetres in specifications don't lie.  So sight unseen I was happy to go along with the first comment - it is a big camera.

However those that bought it in the full knowledge of the fact could not be disappointed - surely?
