Hi,

Im in the process of buying a new camera , the X100F is high on my list.

90% of my pictures i do take when im going on holiday so need a small camera easy to travel with .

I did read a lot of reviews , and its a fantastic camera but some of the reviews do find the X100F not so good for landscape pictures due of the dull colors that the camera produce .

What are your opinions about this camera , is it good for landscape pictures ?

For me, the X100 series cameras are awesome street photography cameras.  Since it doesn't have a zoom, taking just an X100F on a trip would challenge your creativity in a good way.

I am puzzled by any reviews that argue that the X100F has dull colors and so isn't good for landscapes.

If you want to use the X100F for landscapes shots wider than the 23mm focal length, you could do a combination of the following:

  1. Play with built-in panoramic stitching
  2. Buy the wide angle converter
  3. Play with panoramic stitching in post processing software
  4. Use a tripod with a pano head.  Can also benefit from an L-bracket.  I love shooting multi-row panos with a 23mm lens in the portrait orientation.

Lastly, the X100F is not that small and at $1300 it isn't cheap.  I would also consider a high-end P&S with zoom lens such as a Sony RX100 M5.
