Any ACDSee users here? I need help with TIFFs from SPP.

I have Adobe CC photography plan till May 2018, but I just bought ACDSee Ultimate 10 to see how life would look like outside Lightroom. LR never had any problems with TIF files from SPP. But when I tried to open the same TIFF in Ultimate 10 in Develop mode it said "Cannot process selected file". The View mode shows that the file has 2 pages. There's the 86 Mb photo file plus for some strange reason a second page with a very small as if some kind of preview photo. At one point I got a message saying something like that multipage photos can not be processed or developed. The curious thing is that I can open this same TIFF in Edit mode and do whatever I want there but nothing in Develop mode.
It is a Maximin size 16-bit TIFF in 48-bit colour AdobeRGB shot RAW in DP1M and converted to TIFF in SPP 6.1 which works fine in LR CC.
