Great Blue in flight with new D500

For the last couple years I was using the D610 with the Tamron 150-600 for wildlife. Nice combo for sure but the auto focus leaves a lot to be desired. Yesterday my D500 arrived and I went straight to a known nesting area for Great Blue Herons.
Very small crop applied. Retained lots of details in the beak and feathers
I really liked the results and my hit rate seemed pretty good. I used AFC 25 for this shot. I haven't played much with group or 3d yet but I plan on putting them to the test soon. The high frame rate was nice. I am "programmed" to manage my buffer from using the D610 for so long so I was taking a couple pictures at a time rather than holding down the shutter button. I have the XQD card so my buffer should be bottomless really.
