I do the same. The only disadvantage I found is that dng files store metadata, there is no sidecar file. This means that for backups, a change to the stored metadata means an updated raw file and this is detected by backup software and the whole file is uploaded. With native files, only the sidecar file is updated and these are tiny and very fast to backup.

This is most significant if you have lightroom set to automatically save metadata, and an automatic online backup running in the background. If you don't have either of these, it's not an issue.

I tolerate this as personally I think it's far more likely that dng files will be supported years from now than the Samsung raw format...
