Spare parts for Minolta 300/2.8
I have a Minolta 300/2.8 that has not been used for a long time and when I now put it on the camera I get the "no lens attached" error. I have cleaned the contacts with no luck and then sent it to a man who still repair these lenses (since sony won´t have anything to do with Minoltas stuff anymore). He has examined the contacts and wires without finding anything faulty.
It is probably the chip inside the lens that needs replacing. Does anyone here know if it is possible to find spare parts for these lenses or can point me in a direction where I can start looking? I have scanned Ebay with no luck so far.
Anyone who knows what this little chip actually does? Most of the functions surely must be inside the camera body? Perhaps is it possible to "hack" this in some way?
Have you tried your 300mm lens on another camera body?
