Re: Keep EM5 or EPM2 as second body?

Do you need a viewfinder? If yes, then E-M5 is the way to go

Do you have a weathersealed lens and like to shoot in wet conditions? If yes, then the E-M5 is the way to go.

Do you just want a spare body that you can throw in your suitcase just in case something happens with the E-M10ii? E-PM2.

I have an E-M1 and an E-PM2, and I unfortunately have decided that I really like having a VF. The E-PM2 with VF2 really isn't a whole lot smaller/more packable than the E-M1, so it ends up staying at home a lot more than I'd like. I thought I'd keep it for random street shooting, but I end up grabbing the E-M1 when I do that.

Now, if you're traveling, the E-PM2 makes sense - it can hold an identical battery (so you have a spare), and doesn't require a different charger. If you're going on potentially once-in-a-lifetime trips and don't want to go more than a day without a camera, keeping the E-PM2  provides cheap/easy insurance against failure and theft.

Of course, if you're hiking up waterfalls and hanging out in windy deserts, the recommendation would be to go with the E-M5 - after checking the seals.
