Converted DNG Versus Native [NX1] SRW

Is there any benefit that anyone can discern that would sway one to retain native SRW files?

I use Lightroom. As an NX1 owner, from the beginning, I have been converting SRW files to DNG files using the Samsung provided converter, then importing the DNG files into Lightroom and storage.

Lately I have imported several batches of native NX1 SRW files into LR just to see how these behaved with current Adobe raw support for NX1 SRW's.

I have found these native files to be perhaps a bit slower for LR to deal with in develop module. Also, my typical SRW file is about 40 meg's each, where the converted DNG's average about 30 meg's each. This could add up to some serious storage real-estate over time

Yes, the conversion process is kind of tedious and slow with large batches, but on the surface, it seems worthwhile to convert to DNG prior to LR import.

BUT, I'm wondering if I'm missing something, especially where Lightroom handling is concerned in terms of post-processing "quality" [or loss thereof].

Am I correct in thinking LR develop module works easier (slightly faster) and with less processing overhead with DNG's Vs native SRW's?

Any reason to retain native .SRW format? [other then time skipping the conversion step]

Thanks in advance.
