hi! can anyone recommend an inexpensive entry level macro lens for eos m10? thank you!

The Canon EF-M 28mm Macro is a wonderful lens.  As noted above, it may or may not qualify as inexpensive, but it's reasonable compared to many other Macro lenses.  And because of its short focal length and image stabilization, it's great for a new macro shooter.

As suggested above, extension tubes are an inexpensive way to get macro magnification from your existing lenses.  I haven't tried any of the EF-M compatible extension tubes, so I can't recommend any in particular, but I did find two types on Amazon, for not much money.  There's not much to an extension tube, but I do recommend that you get tubes that have the electrical contacts so your auto-focus and auto-aperture, IS, and other electrical/electronic gadgetry in your lenses will function.

Also suggested above are the "close-up filters".  I agree that you need to get good quality ones, or they can be awful.  The Canon 500D units are excellent.

Close-up filters have several advantages over extension tubes.  They don't reduce the light reaching the sensor nearly as much as tubes.  And they work well with zoom lenses because the focus doesn't change drastically as you zoom, the way it will with extension tubes.

But good quality close-up filters are rather expensive, so you might circle around and consider the EF-M 28mm Macro lens again.
