Small sensors

Laugh - don't start a micro sensor versus 4/3 sensor argument Guy, my funny bone couldn't stand it

Most here don't even know how good those tiny 1/2.33 sensor cameras can be. In good light they can get spectacularly good results, but don't try pixel peeping, just print them or view them as normal. I'd be quite happy to abandon M4/3 and take only say a Casio ZR850 on a "serious" holiday (my wife uses one). But...... occasional "difficult" situations really need that M4/3.

As the light falls though things get a little hairy as higher ISO really hurts those tiny sensors. Casio have a way 'round that by low light high speed stacking to deliver perfectly acceptable results.

Hey, even my 2005 vintage Ricoh R3 still delivers, particularly for closeup/macro situations. But, Tom, you know all that.

I also have to ring and have a good talk to my recalcitrant sister ... among other things I still think she might be still using her Minolta slr and film.

Film? What is that? Some new invention to supersede digital?

Regards..... Guy
