It's never different groups, it's always the same. The group that also invoke the laws of physics when it comes to size of an area, just to forget them completely just a few minutes later when those laws would also work against their arguments.

if you need a hug, just ask...

Why would I ? I'm just having fun observing how people's twisted minds work.

I think even a professional psychiatrist would be jealous of how much study material can be found here compared to a typical psychiatric office

If you need a hug, let me know.....

These forums seem to be a blood sport for some.

I posted photos that showed how well the EM1.2 did cf a D750 and D700, and, got hammered by some on the Nikon FF forum.. it was even suggested i got what i deserved (I admit I was bit provocative, i did say "look if you are brave"). I posted examples of the cases where the EM1.2  wasn't doing as well as the D750 on the MFT forum, and, also got unkind reactions from some.

There were often useful comments (such as use  a faster prime on the Em1.2), but, in the end,  ever so reluctantly, I made a choice..

I have often felt like wandering over to the psychology dept at my uni and seeing if someone had a PhD student looking for a topic.

Over the years, I have seen REALLY awful behavior, hurtful and nasty comments.

There is a real world in which mere mortals scrimp and save to indulge a hobby, its not as expensive as drugs, but, about the same as what a handiperson spends on tools.

I's nice to find some support for what can be a big expenditure, and, also nice to have helpful comments. Even some humorous ones!

But, we don't need these forums to be an arena for blood sport, perhaps those who do can get some short swords and shields, and, some tridents and nets and go mutilate each other in private.

Having said that, Sony WILL have to produce tele lenses of the calibre of Nikon and Canon, and, I am sure that they will, and, the prices will be comparable.

In the meantime, Olympus could kit up some sport photographers and 40-150mmf2.8's and 300mmf4pro and see how they go.

But, I read somewhere recently that they weren't planning to do that.
