Recent Fuji convert, and going to Alaska, want advice
Apr 25, 2017
Hello ...
Going to Alaska.
Own the 23/56 lenses. What other lenses would be a must to bring to the great outdoor state of Alaska? I'm also looking at getting one of those new 4K DJI drones. Anyway, interested to hear what people's preferences would be.
I guess the 10-24 looks interesting but not sure if there is a higher quality alternative? I see the wider one due out in 2018 but that doesn't help me now. The 16-55 looks good but again I have the 23/56 and don't mind moving my legs. So maybe the 55-140? The 100-400 while it provides nice reach, appears to cater to more of a consumer crowd versus pro crowd (disabuse me if you think I'm wrong), and I typically prefer lenses with constant apertures for their speed/quality.
Any other must-haves for a trip that might involve a helicopter, wildlife, mountains, etc.?
Side note: I always attempt to purchase lenses that have a purpose for my main focus which is portrait/headshot/fashion type stuff, which is what I do.
Thanks!
