Sure, an electronic viewfinder is better (except when using polarized sunglasses), but the clearviewer is relatively cheap and small.  It doesn't add the large hump like the VF-2/3/4 do.   Unlike sunshades or simple loupes, it has an eyepiece that you would look through just like an EVF.

Note, I haven't used the clearviewer in a few years, as my main cameras (Stylus-1, E-M1, G85) have electronic viewfinders built-in.  I didn't use it all that much, but it might be worth it in your case.

Hopefully the guy is still in business.
