I think Arg means paying less attention to the recommended +/- exposure meter in the camera in favour of using the histogram to work out the ideal exposure once initial settings have been chosen.

I reckon it's better to state your process clearly, step-by-step and not tell a photographer who is new to Sigma Q cameras to "ignore the meter completely".
