When you say poor in low light? What exactly are you referring to? High-ISO quality? Auto focus speed?
Micro 4/3 cameras are never going to equal larger sensor cameras at equal ISOs. However there are a number of fast lenses you can shoot wide open and there's 5 axis IBIS in almost all cameras from the last year.
In regards to AF speed in poor light conditions, I honestly don't think any system performs better than Panasonic.
Hi and good questions. I am referring to High-ISO quality. Auto-focus with the GH4 and native Panasonic lenses (12-35 & 35-100) is lightning fast. Its performance under low light when the ISO reaches 3200 and above is the big problem. I tend to shoot indoors quite a bit in less than brightly-lit settings (dinners, etc.).
Any m43 camera will run into the same iso3200 and above limitations. If you expect clean iso3200 and above go full frame. The new gh5 and em1 II does slightly better.
Hi, perhaps the APC/DX will be sufficient given the D500's processor and performance. Once I test them I'll make a decision first-hand. Thanks
