Yes, that's exactly what it was.

It was a review, something other people use to help them make buying decisions. If you're writing one of those, you have some kind of duty of care (ethically if not in law) not to just spout off your opinion or share your enthusiasm. In effect you are recommending a product for someone else to spend their hard earned on. You create a responsibility for yourself to be fair...

No-one buys a camera based solely on these user opinions, they may be called "Reviews" but user opinions are exactly what they are, here's an example for you, on the Sony A6000:

I´m a happy user of Nex system with a NEX-3, a Nex-5R and two Nex-7. Has not the video issue (sensor heating) of the Nex-7. Makes wonderful videos. But with this new camera I have seen very interesting "improvements".

1. The camera has plastic casing. Very far from the Nex-7 feeling.

2. The body is bigger than the Nex-7. Not too much but bigger!

3. The WORST: MF-ASSIST is available only when E-mount lens is attached. So, you can not focus properly with manual lenses. For me the focus assist was a very important feature of the Sony (Nex) system. But now ...

If Sony will offer such "improvements", I will not buy more Sony cameras. For me, the QUEEN of the system is the "old" Nex-7.

This person awarded 1.5 stars for this review, and he was wrong on his main complaint. I could find numerous other reviews exactly like this, some even worse.

I don't care so much what the OP's opinion is, it's his opinion, I object to the absence of balance in arriving at the rating after blatantly ignoring a long list of flaws he raised himself.

Maybe you should contact DPR and arrange for some Policing of these reviews, clearly you place far more importance on them than they warrant, better still, why not ask to vet them to your satisfaction, I can only assume you haven't read many of them previously.
