I'm curious what would be your opinion on choosing the most appropriate/efficient enthusiast level DSLR+lens combo. After extensive research I narrowed my selection to two combos:

A) Canon 80D + Canon EF 70-300 mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM (Mark II)

B) Nikon D7200 + Nikon AF-P DX Nikkor 70-300mm F4.5-6.3G VR (or optionally Nikon Nikkor 70-300mm f/4-5.6 G AF-S VR IF-ED)

Both combos are of quite similar price. Lenses up to 300 mm have been chosen for all-round tasks, longer telephoto may come later.

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I'm thinking of buying an 80D or the new Nikon D7500 coupled with one of those 150-600 zooms.... I'm leaning towards the Nikon because better high iso performance.

I had the tamron 150-600 V1 and Canons 6D and by  looking through the images I have taken with that combo I must say I used very high ISO for most of my images (2500-12800) .

In that range the Nikon D7500 (D500) sensor performance is better than Canon 80D.
