A couple with the 200-500
Yes, these little birds move very fast and just don't sit still. I have a several images of them over the years, but not often get a chance to photograph them. I have noticed that the single point focus bracket on the d500 is very good at shooting through limbs and branches, don't need much of a hole to get focus on the bird.
Very good Ken on being able to even see and shoot these little cuties.
I have noticed the same thing with single point focus. I set up the af-on button to switch to single point hen held. It works great.
