Missing Nikkors that will make the D7500 more pervasive...

I think this Thom Hogan piece has taken a new relevance with the launch of the D7500: http://www.dslrbodies.com/lenses/lens-articles/focal-length/missing-nikkors-2017.html

As the D7500 becomes less of an enthusiast camera and more of a consumer camera, new, more suitable (size and price wise) and better DX lenses will be needed in order to sustain sales of the D7500 and the DX range of cameras.

Is it any wonder that DSLR sales are declining? The target market of users have been neglected by Nikon for too long!
