Next step - back-illuminated multi-aspect 24MP sensor?

Sony just unveiled a back-illuminated full frame sensor in their A9 model, offering insanely fast data transfer rates.

This means one thing. Eventually, a super fast, back-illuminated multi-aspect 24MP sensor is coming to m43, offering basically the same pixel pitch compared to current 20 MP sensor. We will be enjoying uninterrupted viewfinder action while shooting too.

That is where this is going, unless Panasonic comes with the organic sensor first.

Sony's new FF sensor may not have a global shutter, but if that sensor's readout time is at 1/100s or even faster, the rolling shutter is be close to non-existent.

So, there is future to m43 anyway. Now GH5 looks like a bargain at €1999.
