Equivalent and true FOV difference

I understand the sensor size makes a lens's field of view multiplied by the crop factor, 1.5 for Sony APSC. The focal length does not magically change but the FOV does. I have been wondering how different would the FOV be compared to a true 35mm lens on a full frame and a 23 mm lens on APSC. Will the perspectives, compression, distortion, bokeh be similar to 35 on FF or will it be like a 23mm but cropped to the angle of view/wideness of 35mm lens?

I have been wondering about this simple question since I am considering 21mm lens for achieving 35mm FOV for walkaround and moderately wide shots. 21 on FF is towards ultrawide territory which compresses scene differently than a 35 would do on FF which is said to be towards normal FOV. Will photos look like cropped 21 or true 35 lens on FF while used on APSC?
