Doesn't change the advice - stay under f8 (f5.6 is better) and all should be well...

It depends on what you are trying to do. Even above f/8 the D800 will delver (slightly) more resolution that a camera with fewer pixels. Nor does the pixel size affect the f-number at which diffraction takes over from lens aberrations as the major source of blur.
