Price vs Quality

My most treasured photos are using my primes so this 18105 is really my go to lens if i go travelling. Yes, environmental condition needs to be above average for this lens to perform at the top end but at least there is a chance that this gives me really good image; whereas what I find with the other longer range Sony zooms gives me the range but does not give me the quality. the images are a bit flat.

Note I also bought this second hand and have not regretted it at all. It is quite large but not completely unacceptable and given the price and the quality it gives me on a good day. The extra room in my bag is well worth it. If that's really an issue, I'd just whack the prime back on my A6000 and out i go. Data speaks for me, without knowing it this 18105 is my most used lens in 2016
