Yes there is. I have NX1 with 16-50S, NX300 with 45/1.8 and NX1 with either lens easily has more detail in low light. I have tried the NX300 with both lens and can confirm that low light is better by a larger margin on the NX1. But the latter comes at a price and bigger form factor.

So in general would you say the nx1 does a decent job at minimizing noise in low light compared to nx1?

What is the ISO you're going to use?

I used NX30 and NX300 for some time and moved to NX1. NX1 has vastly better vieo ISO performance.

Do you have any low light sample footage I could comapre to nx300 vs nx1?

lastly how good is the autofocus in daylight is it much faster compared to nx300 for video?

I don't recall AF on NX300 being any good for movies. It worked somehow on static subjects, but not at all on moving ones. NX1 works well on moving subjects as long as they're not very close to the camera. You can also dsjust speed of transition (from one object to the other) and speed of reaction (if another object obscure view - should camera switch af asap or wait a moment, maybe it will pass).

NX300's video is a joke. Search this forum about it, and you will see why.

Actually, I bought a NX3000 as a 3rd-crash camera.

NX1's video capabilities vs NX300's is like valuing an ounce of gold vs an ounce of coal.
