Focus issue

Hi guys, i have some kind of problem with focus but i cannot tell what it is. So i took bellow photo. All details in exif, anyhow, at f8 and i would say aprox 2 meters, maybe less (you pros can estimate how far i was from subject) i should have whole head in focus, but it's not, ears, hair, maybe nose?!? looking at his sweater, its like front of it is oof, this is killing me, i must have at least 30cm of focus, right? even if i was 1.5 meters away, his head should still be in focus. Or is lens soft? I have such problem all the time, with all lenses i have, if i set 50mm 1.8 to f8 i will not have all in focus, help me out, this is driving me crazy. Is it me? Is it camera, front or back focus, or is focus correct, i mean, i get sharp eyes, but i want all to be sharp, not just eyelashes. Anyhow, me? camera? lens? ufo?

Feel free to comment on photo pp (or in general), i just discovered that i can get brighter photo using "whites" slider, instead of "exposure" slider. Just ignore WB, it should be 5000, not 5700, slow internet connection to reupload.
