No, I did not measure the synchronicity of the QX1 set. I believe however that the synchronicity of the wired A5000 and A6000 sets is (much) better. So, you might be right.

For the A5000 I do have measurement results. They have been published in several Stereoscopic club magazines (NL, GE, UK).

Measurements for Sony Alpha A5000. In A-mode (fixed aperture) we found that 85 out of 100 pictures had a exposure difference of 2 milliseconds (1/500) or less. 80 were even better than 1 ms. In S-mode (fixed shutter) the results were 92 and 68. In P-mode (program) the results were 93 and 78. In the “intelligent mode” the results were 96 and 83. In M-mode (manually fixed aperture, speed and ISO) the results were 94 and 75. As these figures show (much to our surprise) the “intelligent mode” gave the best results. The tests also made clear that there was no notable difference between shooting a sequence or a single picture after a new start up. Stereo Data Maker (SDM) may still be the most synchronous solution for twinning but the test results of the A5000 set were not disappointing to me.
