Stiff and squeaky zoom ring and action
For those with the expertise. I have a Sony 24-702.8 ZA that took a tumble three years ago. The zoom ring is very stiff and today I noticed that it squeaks when I zoom. The image quality is still superb though. I am from Trinidad and the cost and time to send to Precision is not practical (this is my bread and butter lens.) Will this be most likely an uncomplicated repair that I can have our local camera shop perform? Is there anything major that could cause the stiffness and squeaking that would "force" me to send to Precision?
Thanks in advance.
