Is the D7500 an update or a downgrade???

Is the D7500 an update to what?

my opinion:

I don't think the Nikon D7500 is an update to the D7200

besides the tilt screen and higher ISO but lower IQ

plus one can buy a brand new Nikon D7200 for £600 ( don't no what that would be in $ )

what do others think,

negatives below: D7500

no Ai coupling (no support for non-CPU lenses)

lower IQ

a smaller sensor

no vertical grip option (no contact on the bottom of the camera)

battery life went down to 950 shots (the D7200 had 1,110)

no NFC (the D7200 had NFC)

no possibility to add a battery grip:

single SD memory card slot (just UHS-I, no support for UHS-II)

LCD screen resolution went down to 922,000 dots (the D7200 had 1,228,800 dots)

no separate AF joystick (like the D500 and the D5)

that's my opinion
