Which kit lens for the X-T20? XC 16-50 or XF 18-55

The back command dial changes the aperture....a method I prefer rather than the unmarked ring on the 18-55.

I'd suggest going for the 16-50 and maybe put the savings towards a prime

It was really hard to order the 16-50 mainly because there is so much love for the 18-55 here, but I did recently order that lens with the X-T20. For many years now, I much prefer a standard zoom that begins at 24mm rather than 28mm (35mm).

I read a lot of online reviews recommending it, but it was user reviews that I've been interested in.

Dave, do you have/have you now been using the 16-50 and if so, you are happy with it?

No I'm like you. Ordered from B&H and waiting.

Good thing though. About 15 years or so ago I bought a Canon 100-400. I just traded it in to B&H which cut the price of the T20 kit in half. Feeling really good because that lens performed well for years but lately it has been gathering dust.
