D7500 - Almost perfect, not evil, continued
6

I was pleased that my original thread acclaiming the D7500 camera got more positive votes and maxed out more quickly than the thread about the camera being evil. I thought I would start this new thread continuing the discussion.

Summing up, let's list the pros of the D7500 (per our moderator Mako):

Larger pixel size
Expeed5 vs 4
Greater ViewFinder magnification
CLS radio flash control
8 Fps vs 6
A 50 shot buffer vs 18
The improved AF over the D7200
Auto AF fine tune
Group AF mode
Flicker detection
4k time lapse recording
4k vs 1080p video
Tilting LCD
Touch screen
Built-in Bluetooth
Improved weather sealing

Now, let us list the cons, some of which have drawn much emotional negativity:

Reduced support for pre-AF Nikon lenses
Elimination of the 2nd card slot
No evidence of a battery pack option
Reduction in sensor resolution from 24MP to 21MP
Lower resolution of LCD

Overall, I see the pro decisively outweighing the cons.  One remarked that we are going back to an era where we had a D300 - D90 differentiation, and I believe this is an appropriate assessment.  However, I see the newer "D90" as being even more capable.:-)
