I have as bad a case of GAS as most anybody. So on a recent cruise in the Caribbean I brought my new Sony RX100 and HX80. And when we got home, I sold both. All during the 11 days of the cruise, I kept wishing I had brought my S90 and ELPH 330 HS.

I suspect my quest for "better" got me into hardware I didn't really like, and that was demonstrably not as good in some areas. What areas? AF and image stabilization.

Fortunately, I had not sold off my ELPH and S90; so it was easy to put them back into service along with the G15 and FZ200. I have used the S90 and G15 since they were first introduced.

I guess my question for the forum has to do with the idea of "good enough" as a place to stop. Have you reached that plateau; or are you still looking for the ultimate camera?

I love the smell of G.A.S. And it gives me great pleasure.

And I have have many cameras to enjoy taking pictures with.
