My GX7 is obsolete (includes some helicopter pics)

I much prefer owning two bodies rather than changing lenses in the field. I have a G80 which goes everywhere and a GX7 which gives me the second body when I will benefit. I rarely use both for birds but nearly always for aviation events and often for travel. On Saturday I attended an event to mark 50 years since the maiden flight of the Gazelle helicopter at Middle Wallop. (Life expectancy of modern aircraft is amazing). I was shooting flying shots with my usual tools of G80 and 100-400. If it is possible this combination manages to impress me more each time I use it. A couple of samples.

no it's not a dirty sensor it's grass
When the attention turned to shooting ground shots I swapped to the GX7 and 14-140. The pictures are fine but the pleasure I got from the taking was seriously diminished after using the G80 so much lately. The GX7 feels for want of a better word fiddly and, while it all works, everything about the G80 feels so much more comfortable than when using the G80. I've also got so used to using the drive mode dial on the G7 and G80 that I really miss it when it's not there. Pictures are still good though. Another couple of samples.

Thrown in with the admission price was free admission to the Army Air Corps museum. Now normally I wouldn't hesitate at this point to continue with the GX7 but as I was getting frustrated with using it and the typical indoor lighting meant that Dual IS2 might be very useful, I entered the museum and swapped lenses. Tools are now G80 and 14-140. And was I pleased I swapped. Dual IS2 allowed me to handhold at low shutter speeds and still get some good results. I took the ISO to 800 and barely noticed any degradation, another perk of using the G80. I don't believe I could have achieved anything like the same IQ with the GX7. So despite my willingness to carry two cameras the GX7 is unlikely to ever get a run in a similar scenario. Inside the museum samples.
1/10 sec ISO800
1/10 sec ISO800
1/13 sec ISO 800
1/8 sec ISO800
So it looks as if for now my willingness to carry two cameras is likely to have disappeared. The only time I can see I might do it is at large air displays where there is flying taking place while I am photographing the static but most of time GX7 will just be my emergency backup.
