To be clear, we recommend against trying to run a CHDK build for a different model. There are a few a cases where Canon just re-badged the same internals, but that should be verified with a firmware dump rather than trying to run other builds.
CHDK is available for the SD770 (aka IXUS 85). The G6 will almost certainly never will be supported because it's a Digic 1 camera.
Thanks guys. Honestly it's not that big of a deal, and at the prices 2004 cameras are going for, I just ordered a second G6. I'll keep the "bad" one as a backup. Fingers crossed that the next one has fewer or no stuck pixels!
Second eBay G6 arrived. About five or six stuck pixels again. 😕 Oh well, I'll live with it. Otherwise it's such a cool camera, can't wait to put it to good use.
