I think the most telling part of the review was when Jared admitted that for some reason he shot about 850 photos during the day, which is way more than he usually shoots. He doesn't get into the possible reasons why, but I suspect it's because as so many people on this forum admit, the X series cameras are just so enjoyable to use you end up shooting more.
That or because for some reason he seemed to have issue with the 11fps boost mode on the X-T2. I'd say it's a moot point as trying to knock out 2-3 shot bursts on any camera (mirrorless or DSLR) that you have shooting 10-14fps is almost an act in futility unless your shutter finger reflexes are lightning fast.
other than that I'd say that coming from a guy who hadn't used the camera, shoots pretty much Nikon DSLR and didn't have much time to learn the idiosyncrasies of the X-t2 the review was pretty high praise for the Fuji X system in general.

It was odd that he didn't notice the EVF blackouts when shooting at 11 fps - guess he got confused with the review images as real time feeds from the sensor...
exactly, though it's still not as bad as earlier generations of X cameras even at 11fps.
The other comment I found amusing was when he commented on how light the Fuji kit was compared to his standard Nikon kit. He was using the 10-24, 16-55, 50-140 and 56 f1.2. To me, compared with the X-P2 and X-E2 I carry along with the 23 f2, 35 f1.4 and 56 f1.2, he was carrying a bag of boat anchors in a Fuji kit. I don't even want to think about the heft of his Nikon kit. Part of the reason I ditched my Canon gear.
