Re: 5 - although I'd like to downsize

Ignoring my phone, which does occasionally get used for snaps when I don't have anything better, I have 5 camera bodies that I use regularly.

  1. Sony A77ii - For when I don't mind carrying a heavier kit, when I need a long lens and decent continuous AF, or when I'd really miss the neat features and capabilities that the A77ii offers.
  2. Panasonic GX7 - An acceptable compromise camera for when I don't want to carry the Sony, e.g. when out walking for the day. Its limitations annoy me in some circumstances, but it does a good job for opportunistic snaps and macro work.
  3. Panasonic GM1 - My jacket pocket camera. It's a sunny day so I have it with me at the moment to take some snaps on my way home from work. I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with the camera, but it's definitely a big step up from my phone.
  4. Fuji X-M1 - Pretty much exclusively used for wide angle shots, landscapes, and long exposures. I only really bother with it because I don't have a decent wide angle prime for m4/3 and the Panasonic sensors are appallingly noisy for long exposures.
  5. Nikon 1 J1 - Converted to infrared after I bought the GM1.

Ideally I'd like to reduce the number of camera bodies/systems that I'm using, but at the moment there isn't one option that covers everything I want. One thing I've definitely decided not to do is buy additional camera bodies that'd just add to my kit without actually replacing anything I've already got.
