XT-2 Does Rain
9

First real opportunity to put the Fuji XT-2 and 50-140 lens to the test of a hard, cold, (35 degrees) pouring rain.  Happy to report that both camera and lens performed flawlessly with no issues.  The ladies college lacrosse game was 2 halves, 30 minutes each and a 3:00 minute overtime with lots of stops in the game.  I had no issues whatsoever with the camera performing as stated, weatherproof, and the lens doing the same.  Even the rear screen which tilts etc. had no problems with the water.  At the end of the game I wiped the camera and lens with a towel, opened the tilting screen and let it dry.  It was so wet I needed a change of clothes afterward.  The cards were dry when taken out and the battery was also dry and did not drain as far as I had expected it might in the cold and rain.  Personally, I would call this a real winner for Fuji!

I tried to show peak action during the heavy downpour so you could see the pictures are every bit as good as if shot on a clear, perfect day.
