CEO Corporate Portrait SOOC and edited - Suggestion?

Dear all I need your suggestion.

I'm working on a marketing concept for the company where I'm employed and I took some corporate portraits of the CEO

A graphic designer of my staff decided to do some editing for printing. None of our monitors are calibrated because we generally don't work with photography. She keeps her monitor with low brightness for printing, but really with no clue about the final result.

I just checked the stuff in my place with calibrated monitor and multiple ICC profile and I feel that her edition is good, but a bit too "soft" while I was seeking more "strengths". I would rise up the background and trousers of the original image, but I pretty like the lighting and shadows in the upper body of the SOOC image

I'd like to receive your opinion about my picture SOOC and the edited one.

I have another question: How much should I rise brightness of the image to compensate the loss during printing? I guess it will be printed in digital offset (4000 hundred copy magazine)

Thank you!!!

SOOC
