Take the D500 and the small J5 and go shoot with both in good light and up to around iso 800 and you will not be able to tell one from the other for image quality and focus speed and both produce a 20 plus MP file size.

If you need to have a viewfinder go with a V3 still the lens cost less and are fantastic you get more for your money. I get such a kick out of people thinking you need a large camera to get good photos digital cameras have been producing good images for years.

Look at the old 6MP Nikon D40 from 2006 over tens year ago that camera took fantastic photos I shot many outdoor weddings with it with a 70-300 VR zoom lens on it and sold 16x20 prints from it with no problem.

You can not tell an image from it from a newer camera out today except the newer one have a little better color but as for image quality no better.

An example here is one from the 6MP old Nikon D40 with the Nikon 70-300 VR. Cropped in quite a bit Once again a lot of people say a lot of things but never back it up with any photos to show what they are talking about.

Give it a break and stop coming across as a fanboy.

If the Nikon 1 series was REALLY that good, Nikon would to sell nothing else except maybe full frame.
